Saddle Creek Road

Saddle Creek Road rendering looking south from Davenport Street Overview

The purpose of the Saddle Creek Road Relocation Feasibility Study is to identify alternative configurations of the road that will provide safe, reliable and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians to and through the study area and reduce roadway flooding of Saddle Creek Road.

The Study Area for the project is generally bounded by Cuming Street on the north, Center Street on the south, 42nd Street on the east and 52nd Street on the west, with a focus on the area of Saddle Creek Road between Davenport and Leavenworth streets.

Benefits of the Project include a better roadway system, more contiguous property to support future Univeristy of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) campus expansion and an improved residential and commercial urban community.

This Project is sponsored by the City of Omaha and UNMC in cooperation with the Nebraska Department of Roads and the Federal Highway Administration. Destination Midtown is also a partner and assists with facilitating community outreach and puplic participation.
